Rhonda - Veterinary Technician

A native of Poulsbo, Rhonda has been employed in the pet health care field for over 20 years. Rhonda has been with Apple Tree Cove Animal Hospital since 2005 and has held the positions of both customer service representative and a licensed veterinary technician, her current role. Rhonda attended Steilacoom Community College and received her Associate's degree in Animal Health Technology in 1984.

Rhonda enjoys camping, working outdoors, crocheting, cross-stitching and quilting. Married to Max, who works at the Puget Sound Navel Shipyard, they have twin daughters and numerous pets. Their pets include a Maltese named Snowbelle, a Chihuahua named Tinkerbell, a Miniature Toy Fox Terrier named Jasmine, a silly Golden Retriever named Elliot, two cats named Dalton and Romeo, an Appaloosa Gelding named Mooney, an Arab Gelding named Echo, a rabbit named Max and six chickens. Rhonda's favorite area of veterinary medicine is surgery.

Lauren - Veterinary Nurse

Born and raised in the Kitsap area, Lauren has been in the animal health field for little over a year now. She graduated from Edmonds Community college with an Associates Degree in 2009, and graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Pima Medical Institute of Seattle in March of 2011. Lauren interned at Apple Tree Cove twice for school before joining the team in August of 2011. Currently, Lauren is studying to pass her licensing exam later this year.

Lauren has always enjoyed the company of animals and has wanted to be in the Veterinary field since she was young. Growing up she had various pets ranging from guinea pigs to dogs. Working as a Veterinary Nurse has given Lauren a sense of accomplishment. She enjoys meeting new patients daily and learning more in-depth aspects of the field.

In her spare time Lauren enjoys playing soccer and tennis, traveling, spending time at the beach and reading. At home she has a Golden Retriever name Joey (who acts as a very good running partner) and a big Orange Tabby named Scooter.

Kristen - Veterinary Nurse

Kristen moved to the Kitsap area from West Seattle 8 years ago. She now resides in Poulsbo with her 11 yr old daughter, Maddy.

Kristen started in veterinary medicine as a receptionist and fell in love with the field. She joined the nursing team at Apple Tree Cove Animal Hospital this past Fall.

"My favorite part of my job is that not one day is the same! I learn something new every day because each day it's different than the day before!"

Kristen's only pet is a tarantula named "Harrieta". When she isn't working you can find her in the mountains camping with her daughter, on, in, or by the water, cheering for the Seahawks at CenturyLink Field or enjoying a UW Husky football game!
