Shana

Native to the Bremerton - Silverdale area, licensed veterinary technician Shana attended Central Kitsap High School. After completing high school, she attended Olympic Community College and received an associate's degree in biology in 1996. She continued her college education and was awarded a bachelor's of science in biology from Seattle Pacific University in 2000 and her associate's of veterinary technology from Pierce College in 2002.

Shana's interests and hobbies include reading, singing, photography, crafts and raising her two sisters, Sarah and Haley. She also enjoys the companionship of her three cats named Mischief, Cobweb and Peasblossom, one chicken and a rabbit named Splatter. Shana has been with Pet Medical Center since 2004 and has served as a veterinary nurse, inventory manager and, more recently, our lead nurse.

Rhonda

A native of Poulsbo, Rhonda has been employed in the pet health care field for over 20 years. Rhonda has been with Pet Medical center since 2005 and has held the positions of both customer service representative and a licensed veterinary technician, her current role. Rhonda attended Steilacoom Community College and received her Associate's degree in Animal Health Technology in 1984.

Rhonda enjoys camping, working outdoors, crocheting, cross-stitching and quilting. Married to Max, who works at the Puget Sound Navel Shipyard, they have twin daughters and numerous pets. Their pets include a Maltese named Snowbelle, a Chihuahua named Tinkerbell, a Miniature Toy Fox Terrier named Jasmine, a silly Golden Retriever named Elliot, two cats named Dalton and Romeo, an Appaloosa Gelding named Mooney, an Arab Gelding named Echo, a rabbit named Max and six chickens. Rhonda's favorite area of veterinary medicine is surgery.

Teresa

Teresa has been a veterinary technician at Pet Medical Center since 2005. She received her license in Washington State in 2001 and has been working in the animal care field since 1993. Teresa's favorite areas of veterinary medicine are animal behavior, surgery, dentistry and of course the puppies and kittens. Teresa works hard as our specialist coordinator as well as a veterinary technician.

Outside the veterinary hospital, Teresa enjoys spending time with her husband Bill, an ocean surveyor, and their Australian Cattle Dog, Scooter. Teresa owns a Quarter Horse named Duff who enjoys moving cattle with Teresa every fall between trail rides, and enjoys showing her other Quarter Horse, Jane, a trained cutting horse. However, it's TNT, Teresa's miniature horse, who runs the ranch. Although TNT isn't showing anymore, he's still in his prime and looks amazing!

Careese

Careese started volunteering at the Pet Medical Center when she was 12 years old and was hired to work in the kennels when she was 15. She started taking online veterinary technician courses through Cedar Valley College in Dallas, Texas and earned several certificates for her accomplishments.

Currently, Careese is enjoying her position as a veterinary assistant here at Pet Medical Center and her areas of interest include dentistry, surgical assisting including anesthetic monitoring, and the interaction with clients and patients in the exam rooms. Careese and her husband Tim live with their dog, Poppy, and two cats, Harvey Dent and Harlie Quinn. In her spare time, Careese enjoys photography, baking and working in her yard.
